HEALING FROM TRAUMA

Trauma can feel overwhelming, confusing, and even isolating. It might come from a single life-changing event or a series of painful experiences that make you feel stuck or unsafe. Complex trauma, in particular, often involves repeated and long-term challenges, leaving you feeling as though the world is unpredictable or that it’s hard to trust yourself or others.

Trauma is not a one-size-fits-all

Trauma looks different for everyone. What feels unbearable to one person might see manageable to someone else - and that's okay. Common types of trauma include:

Rocky Outpost

ACUTE TRAUMA

A single, significant event, such as an accident, natural disaster, or assault

CHRONIC TRAUMA

Ongoing stressors, like living in an abusive household, experiencing systemic oppression, or enduring workplace harassment.

Holding Hands

COMPLEX TRAUMA

Prolonged and repeated trauma, often occurring in childhood, such as neglect, relational violence, or institutional harm.

You may notice trauma showing up in your life as anxiety, difficulty trusting others, feeling disconnected, or even physical symptoms like tension or fatigue. If you’ve experienced complex trauma, these feelings might be deeply ingrained, impacting your sense of who you are and how you relate to the world.

Compassionate Approach to Trauma

1 / Creating Safety

We’ll work together to create a space where you feel truly safe and supported—a space where you can share your experiences at your own pace, without fear of judgment

2 / Making Sense of It All

We’ll explore your story using approaches that helps you clarify what truly matters to you and take meaningful steps forward, and which can help you understand and heal different parts of yourself that may have conflicting feelings about your trauma. These methods are designed to help you untangle the impact of trauma and find a way forward that feels true to you.

3 / Reconnecting

Trauma can leave you feeling alone or out of touch with yourself and others. Together, we’ll work on rebuilding those connections so you can feel more grounded and supported.

4/ Building Strength

Healing isn’t about forgetting your experiences but learning how to move forward in a way that feels empowering. We’ll explore tools to help you manage triggers, handle difficult emotions, and live in alignment with your values.
